Storage Ideas For Movie Buffs

Do you own lots of movie DVDs but don’t have a dedicated storage space to put them?

I faced the same problem, until a few days ago when I demonstrated my super-DIY skills to create the perfect solution for storing my movie DVDs. And in this blog I am going to tell you what I did. So put on the seat belts and enjoy the ride.

IDEAS!

Now this is something I came up when I was coming back from office. I had just completed a project on storage management. And then it appeared to me that I was struggling to find ways to store my huge movie collection and TV series. These included DVDs, books, novels, apparels and more. Any place seemed to shrink with the increasing collection and my reluctance towards dumping any of them. And then I came up with these 2 amazing ideas which I am sharing here.

I searched the web for some inspiration. I got to know about these slim DVD wallets. They are amazingly svelte and are so handy. On top of that they take very little space unlike the previous DVD storage boxes I used.

Now I can flick through and watch again and again my favorites like Sex and the City, Breaking Bad and Sherlock. I also have a classic collection of movies right from the evergreen Gone with the Wind, The Raging Bull to the Interstellar. What about you?

Now this is something really amusing. This is my cutie kitty who loves to chase the chickens around the yard. Now you must be thinking what this is got to do with movie collection. Hold your breath. Do you see the big old wooden box?  Before it only acted as the playroom for the cat and the chickens. However, now it is my one-stop movie collection box! Read on to know how?

It’s a classic example of putting useless things to good use! And the procedure was really simple:

1. I called up some friends who helped me stand the wooden box. It looked something like this:

2. After this it was polished and cut in pieces as follows:

And then the pieces were assembled using just some nails, a driller and lots of paints and fragrance. And finally I created this amazing movie storage collection box at my service! (Fortunately, it was my birthday when this marvelous idea became a reality. My friends helped a lot and this is the best birthday gift I have-

Pro tip: I did not like the holes which were on the side of the wooden frames as you can see above. So I painted it black and fitted white metal bottle caps to give it a stylish look!

Now this was something which was born out of mere creativity and a little help. You need some more storage tips like these? Visit our site. Also we would love to hear about your creative storage ideas.
