Tips to make your life more organized in the New Year

Plans your meals at the start of the week. Make a list of things you have to buy and go grocery shopping once a week. Most people find it difficult to preplan every meal of the meal. Trust us, it does not have to be that difficult. Simply plan 7 lunches and 7 dinners for each week and make whatever seems appealing to you that day.

If you have never had a budget for your expenses, 2015 is the time to start having one. For all you know, 2015 could end up being the year of good financial decisions for you. Making a monthly budget will give you more control over your money. It will help you stay organized by letting you see the big picture and make you resist the urge to spend on impulse.

Closet organization will make your life and decisions simpler every day. The first step to organizing your wardrobe is to eliminate of all items that are unnecessary. If you have not worn an item in the past year, then it is probably time to get rid of it. For every new item you buy, discard one old item that you have not worn in a long time.

Some clothes cannot be discarded. These include seasonal clothing such as leather and furs. Also designer wear that are reserved for special occasions cannot be discarded for they might be of use in the future. But they take unnecessary real estate in your closet. Opt for a storage unit.

There are three secrets to organizing your email: categorize, archive and delete. Don't leave messages unread. Once you read a message, put it in a respective category or delete it. Also do not hang on to old messages back from 2006. You might not need them anymore. Respond to messages quickly. Set out 10-15 minutes a day everyday to replying and organizing your email and your inbox will be much cleaner.

Organize regularly
Your household does not descent into clutter all at once. Ultimate cluttering takes time to happen and it happens slowly, building over time. One of the most important tips we give people is that organizing regularly can really help in keeping your household clutter-free.
Here is what we do: Every day we organize one area of the house that seems cluttered to us. One day it could be the closet, another it could be the cabinet under the kitchen sink. Take your pick. If there is a spot in your home that looks cluttered and messy to you, work on it that day. Sometimes all it takes is 10 minutes a day to keep your life organized.

2) As we are out to prove in this article, hanging towels on the towel bar is not the only way to store towels. You can use the towel bar to suspend baskets which can keep your towels looking pretty and dry.

3) Can you think of any use for magazine racks other than storing magazines?? Holding towels!! Magazine racks make for cute towel holders. Place them under the sink or on some shelf.

4) If you are starting to redo your bathroom from scratch, then this is definitely something you should incorporate. These little in-built spaces can also be great for storing and displaying fun bathtub toys.

Discard Your Relocating and Storage Woes in Kuwait

George was in a dilemma. Ever since he had re-located to Kuwait, he was facing the problem of storage in his new house. Not that his house was  small and there was lack of space, but since he had bought a few new items to spruce up his new house, there would be a maintenance problem and he really was not keen on selling off those items either.

That’s when one of his office colleagues recommended him about The Box storage unit providers.  They are Kuwait’s leading storage unit and logistic providers with a good presence across the country.  The first thing that George did was calling them up and if he could visit their premises for a short visit before he took his decision.

Once George got a confirmation from their end, he and his wife paid a visit to the Box at a branch nearby his residence. He was surprised that the storage units were extremely well maintained.

The entire area was centrally air-conditioned and that was a good factor for some of the goods. Next they went inside a sample storage unit of small size to see how the interiors were maintained.

The lighting in the interiors was good as the walls were clean and dry with the flooring well swept and cleaned. He was surprised and happy that the units were well taken care off.  His next concern was about the security so when he visited the security cell, he was surprised to see that the entire area was under CCTV surveillance. Though he did not have a storage unit, his entry was dully registered and marked.

What surprised George and his wife was the response that he got when he told the manager that he and his wife both are working and they will require help with packing. The manager promptly told him that it is not a problem and he will send his packing team to help him in packing of his belongings which he wanted to keep in the storage unit.

The packers were indeed quick and flawless as they finished packing George’s belongings in no time as they dispatched the items to the storage unit area.

George pays a nominal fee for using the personal storage services of the Box and is very happy with the quality of services that he is getting.  He is recommending the services now to one and all.

Making Moving in Kuwait Easy….

When Nitin Bharadwaj was transferred to Kuwait, he was worried and rightly so.  He was moving to a foreign land with his wife and young children for the first time. He looked up in the yellow pages and asked several of his friends to come up with a perfect solution that would cater to all his moving needs.

But he was not entirely satisfied with the results he got. Some quoted a very high price, some were not willing to take up any responsibility for the delicate and fragile objects and some even refused to help him pack. He was totally dejected and worried. Time was running out fast.

Then someone recommended Storage Kuwait to him.  When Nitin called them up for the first time, he was pleasantly surprised by their professional approach. They sent him a customer representative with a list of quotations that would best suit his needs.

Soon, Nitin zeroed in on a package that best suited his needs. The Box storage people were kind enough to send people over who helped him pack all his belongings safely and securely. They were even willing to take up the responsibility of any damage that might occur during transit/storing.

As soon as Nitin and his young family moved to Kuwait, he was surprised how quick and efficient the services were. The movers were there in quick time and helped them unpack everything.  Soon, they got about shifting as well and settling down.

Under Nitin’s guidance, all the household goods were carefully unloaded, unpacked and kept according to his and his family’s needs.  Nitin was really impressed by the efficiency and professionalism of the storage people. Everything was handled with care and in a thorough professional way. Not once did the people behave clumsily or handled any of the goods carelessly.

Now it so happened that there were a few things that Nitin didn’t need for the time being nor did he have the place to keep them. He again began to worry about the shipping cost that he would have to shell out for them to be sent to India.  But the Box storage people outdid his imagination again!

They offered Nitin to keep the unrequired material at their storage facility in Kuwait. When Nitin was apprehensive about how safe his belongings would be, they assured him that the things would be monitored all the time and would be under 24-hour CCTV surveillance.

Nitin was also told that each time he or any of his family members visited the belongings; their visiting entries would be logged.  When an awe-struck Nitin asked them the secret of such professional services, they replied that it was the ability of the staff to think of the belongings as their own and integrity was  a key element of the services they offered, Nitin was impressed against his own will.

Now Nitin happily recommends Storage Solutions in Kuwait to everyone.  You too can contact them if you are moving in or out of Kuwait.

Tips to Store Water – The Priceless Resource

Water is an indispensable commodity in our lives. But, it is saddening to know that there are so many people who do not get enough water to drink. And even worse is the fact that there are so many people wasting water. In today’s scenario, water harvesting has become a remote possibility as only a handful of people have put it into practice. Mentioned below are a few tips on how you can store water in your day to day life.

Use opaque drums for outdoor storage of water – Transparent containers can absorb sunlight leading to evaporation of water. Therefore, it is best if you store water in opaque containers while storing it outdoors.

You can store water in containers of different sizes - Depending upon your usage and location you can store water in different types of containers. Right from large drums to buckets to small tanks, you can store water in a variety of places depending upon your location and requirements.

Use a siphon for getting the water out – If you have stored a large amount of water in drums, it can be difficult to get the water out. Hence, you need to use a siphon for pushing the water out.

Use jugs for storing water indoors – If you’re storing water indoors, you can comfortably stash it in juice or soda bottles. However, do not use milk or juice containers that have been refrigerated to store water.

Use clean containers – Often, we don’t notice the dirt accumulated in the bottom of the storage containers. This can lead to contamination of water. Hence it is very important to clean up the containers thoroughly before you store water in them.

Rotate the water in 6 months – Do not keep the same water stored for years together. Instead replace it with new water especially in case you’ve not used bleach.

Use a water filter – If you are not able to use clean water by any chance, you can use a water filter to ensure that the water you drink is clean.

Keep the above tips in mind before you store water this season.

Tips to Store Glass Items – Treat Them with Care

Glass items are very fragile and so you need to use them with utmost care. And once packed, your duty doesn’t end there. You need to port them properly from one place to another. Here we provide you with some simple tips to pack and store glass items.

Bring home boxes of different sizes – All the glass items need to be packed carefully inside boxes. A box that’s divided is better for storing as that would prevent one item from getting in touch with the other. If glass items get into contact with each other, it could lead to breakage. Hence it is very important that you use divided boxes for storage. In case, you can’t have a divided box, you can fill in tissue papers to cover up the space between one glass item and the other.

Use bubble wrap - The glass items shouldn’t be moving inside the box, or else they might get damaged. Hence you need to make use of plenty of paper, tissues and other materials to fill up the void between different objects. You can cover up the items using bubble wrap so that the glassware is adequately protected.

Label all the boxes carefully – Once you store the glass items in boxes, there’ll be different people handling them at different times. As soon as you have stored the glass items, you need to label them as ‘Handle with Care’ or ‘Fragile.’ In this way, the stuff is handled properly whenever it is being ported or used by different people.

Store the glass items in the right manner – If you have to store glass plates, don’t store them in a flat manner. You need to store them vertically one after the other. Give the plates enough padding and cushioning so that they do not crack or break. While storing cups, ensure that the handle area is thoroughly covered with packing paper so that they remain in one place itself while they are being moved.

Keep the above tips in mind to store glass items in an optimum manner.

Tips To Select The Right Packaging Material For Your Goods

Your things are precious to you more than anyone else. When it comes to packing your goods while shifting, you should never compromise on quality. Often, we are tempted to use cheap materials for packing up things, but it should never be the case. Here we provide you with some simple tips to select the right packaging material for your goods during the storage and shifting period.

1. Buy new boxes - This is one area where most of us go wrong. We often end up using the same old boxes that were used for the refrigerator or the TV while packing up stuff. This can have very bad repercussions as old boxes tend to break quite often. That’s the reason why you should always buy new boxes so that your goods are well protected and safe.

2. Use tissue papers to fill up the space within boxes – Fill up the space inside the boxes using tissue papers as that would help to avoid unnecessary motion of the goods within.

3. Pack fragile items using bubble wrap – Fragile items need utmost care and you need to first cover them up using bubble wrap and then place them in their respective boxes. This will help to prevent breakage by all means.

4. Use shrink wrap for heavy items – You can use shrink wrap to pack heavier items such as doors, cabinets and so on. This kind of packaging is also known to prevent infestation due to dust and water elements.

5. Use canvas sheets for covering heavy goods – Heavy furniture can be covered up using canvas sheets as they are best for the long term storage of such goods. Using plastic covers is not advisable as they attract moisture in the long run.

In this way, you need to select the right packaging material for different goods based on their exterior and size.
