Following are some tips and tricks to help their transfer go as smoothly as possible.

•        Firstly, inform your little one as early as possible. Give him the needed time to get used to the idea whilst talking about the move often. This will help in highlighting that it is going to happen for real. A kid’s immediate reaction can be fright for the unknown. As a parent you need to give plenty of information about the move so that your tot can be calm and at peace.

Storage Ideas For Movie Buffs

Do you own lots of movie DVDs but don’t have a dedicated storage space to put them?

I faced the same problem, until a few days ago when I demonstrated my super-DIY skills to create the perfect solution for storing my movie DVDs. And in this blog I am going to tell you what I did. So put on the seat belts and enjoy the ride.

Now this is something I came up when I was coming back from office. I had just completed a project on storage management. And then it appeared to me that I was struggling to find ways to store my huge movie collection and TV series. These included DVDs, books, novels, apparels and more. Any place seemed to shrink with the increasing collection and my reluctance towards dumping any of them. And then I came up with these 2 amazing ideas which I am sharing here.

I searched the web for some inspiration. I got to know about these slim DVD wallets. They are amazingly svelte and are so handy. On top of that they take very little space unlike the previous DVD storage boxes I used.

Now I can flick through and watch again and again my favorites like Sex and the City, Breaking Bad and Sherlock. I also have a classic collection of movies right from the evergreen Gone with the Wind, The Raging Bull to the Interstellar. What about you?

Now this is something really amusing. This is my cutie kitty who loves to chase the chickens around the yard. Now you must be thinking what this is got to do with movie collection. Hold your breath. Do you see the big old wooden box?  Before it only acted as the playroom for the cat and the chickens. However, now it is my one-stop movie collection box! Read on to know how?

It’s a classic example of putting useless things to good use! And the procedure was really simple:

1. I called up some friends who helped me stand the wooden box. It looked something like this:

2. After this it was polished and cut in pieces as follows:

And then the pieces were assembled using just some nails, a driller and lots of paints and fragrance. And finally I created this amazing movie storage collection box at my service! (Fortunately, it was my birthday when this marvelous idea became a reality. My friends helped a lot and this is the best birthday gift I have-

Pro tip: I did not like the holes which were on the side of the wooden frames as you can see above. So I painted it black and fitted white metal bottle caps to give it a stylish look!

Now this was something which was born out of mere creativity and a little help. You need some more storage tips like these? Visit our site. Also we would love to hear about your creative storage ideas.

Tips to make your life more organized in the New Year

Plans your meals at the start of the week. Make a list of things you have to buy and go grocery shopping once a week. Most people find it difficult to preplan every meal of the meal. Trust us, it does not have to be that difficult. Simply plan 7 lunches and 7 dinners for each week and make whatever seems appealing to you that day.

If you have never had a budget for your expenses, 2015 is the time to start having one. For all you know, 2015 could end up being the year of good financial decisions for you. Making a monthly budget will give you more control over your money. It will help you stay organized by letting you see the big picture and make you resist the urge to spend on impulse.

Closet organization will make your life and decisions simpler every day. The first step to organizing your wardrobe is to eliminate of all items that are unnecessary. If you have not worn an item in the past year, then it is probably time to get rid of it. For every new item you buy, discard one old item that you have not worn in a long time.

Some clothes cannot be discarded. These include seasonal clothing such as leather and furs. Also designer wear that are reserved for special occasions cannot be discarded for they might be of use in the future. But they take unnecessary real estate in your closet. Opt for a storage unit.

There are three secrets to organizing your email: categorize, archive and delete. Don't leave messages unread. Once you read a message, put it in a respective category or delete it. Also do not hang on to old messages back from 2006. You might not need them anymore. Respond to messages quickly. Set out 10-15 minutes a day everyday to replying and organizing your email and your inbox will be much cleaner.

Organize regularly
Your household does not descent into clutter all at once. Ultimate cluttering takes time to happen and it happens slowly, building over time. One of the most important tips we give people is that organizing regularly can really help in keeping your household clutter-free.
Here is what we do: Every day we organize one area of the house that seems cluttered to us. One day it could be the closet, another it could be the cabinet under the kitchen sink. Take your pick. If there is a spot in your home that looks cluttered and messy to you, work on it that day. Sometimes all it takes is 10 minutes a day to keep your life organized.

At Storage Kuwait we offer specialized Vehicle Storage Facilities. Your vehicle will remain safe in our storage facility and free from damage and theft.

2. Disconnect The Battery:

If your battery is connected to the car, it might lose its charge during long-term storage. Remove the battery altogether and make sure the battery terminals are clean before you leave.

3. Remove The Tires:

If you plan on leaving your vehicle in storage for 6 months or more, remove the tires altogether. If you are going to be away for a shorter while, then make sure the tire pressure is full before you leave.

4. Don't Use The Parking Break:

There is a chance that the parking brake will meld with your rotors during long-term storage. Instead use a tire-stopper.

5. Block The Gaps:

Lock the doors, close the windows and block the tailpipe to prevent rodents from getting inside the car. Spread some mothballs around the car to prevent insects from getting too close to your car.

5 Unconventional Bathroom Towel Storage Ideas

What place do wine racks, cane baskets or magazine racks have in the bathroom? We’re here to change that perception. Read on to see how you can creatively use these things in the bathroom to store it’s most essential item: the towel!

1) The space above the commode is often unused. If you have a small bathroom, you cannot afford to waste space. Put up 2 wooden shelves above the commode and use them to store your towels, extra soaps and some flowers to make it look pretty.

2) As we are out to prove in this article, hanging towels on the towel bar is not the only way to store towels. You can use the towel bar to suspend baskets which can keep your towels looking pretty and dry.

3) Can you think of any use for magazine racks other than storing magazines?? Holding towels!! Magazine racks make for cute towel holders. Place them under the sink or on some shelf.

4) If you are starting to redo your bathroom from scratch, then this is definitely something you should incorporate. These little in-built spaces can also be great for storing and displaying fun bathtub toys.
